"Legends of
Motorsports was at the legendary Le Circuit in Mont-Tremblant for the
second event of its sophomore season of competition. Over 140 cars arrived
for the three-day weekend comprised of seven different run groups that
culminated in eight races today including a one-hour Enduro Race open to
all entrants.
"The weekend featured
incredible cars and drivers such as Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame
inductee Jacques Duval who co-drove with Hugh Kwok in a 2005 Porsche
Triposto in the Enduro Race, finishing sixth. Also on the track this
weekend was the 1980 Ferrari 312 T-5 once driven by Gilles Villeneuve that
current driver and owner Bud Moeller brought to a fourth place finish in
the Historic Grand Prix feature race.
" 'What more can you
ask for in a race weekend -- a legendary race circuit; top cars and very
close competition,' said Bobby Rahal, Series Co-Founder and 1986
Indianapolis 500 champion. 'Legends at Mont-Tremblant is the exact
experience we were striving for when this series was created and the
entire weekend was outstanding.' " -

Well done,

The
2L Sports Cars/Can-Am/USRRC race was a great show, with Howard Katz
finishing in first place in his 1975 TOJ 205 C. Finishing a close second
was Keith Freiser in a 1972 Lola T290 and rounding out the top three was
Hamish Somerville
in a 1970 Lola T212.

The Historic Grand Prix racing
competition was extremely close, with Chris Bender in a 1982 March 821-011
edging out the 1978 Lotus 79, driven by Doc Bundy, for first place.
Rounding out the top three for the Historic Grand Prix cars was pole
sitter Hamish Somerville
in his 1980 Williams FW07.
