"Almost 20 years ago, Bill Scott and his good friend, Brian Redman, wanted to have a first class Vintage race on the Summit Point circuit, so they created the Jefferson 500.  Invitations were sent to their friends and others with older historical sports cars and thus the event was started. This grew into one of the best and largest vintage races in the northeast. After 2006, for various reasons, the event was no longer run.  In 2009 with pressure from various sources, the Jefferson 500 was once again run (as it was this year), sanctioned by the Vintage Racers Group."  - VRG

Participating this weekend were
Bernard Bradpiece with his Merlyn and Elva Mk7,  Rick Carlino with his '76 Chevron B36; and, driving Rick's '72 GRD 72S was Pete Gulick, back in the saddle after a ridiculously long hiatus.  Lee Chapman would be driving the Lotus Super 7.
