Sebring, FL

March 5 - 8, 2008

TEAM-LCR REPORTS

After a terrific weekend at Sebring in December, we were eager to return in March to kick off our 2009 racing season with Hamish Somerville and his Lola T212, Paul Alexander with his Elva Mk7S, John Harrold with his Chevron B36, and Mr. Chapman, himself, back with his Super 7 Lotus (above) after a less than auspicious debut in December.

Also enjoying the racing at Sebring (under Metro Racing's able care in Florida),
was our summer/fall client, Archie Urciuoli in his stunning Lola T70

"The Open Wheel and Championship of Makes race 2, was a hard fought race between 2

cars in the 3CS class fighting for 1st in class and 1st overall. At the finish, Hamish Somerville in his

'70 Lola 212 prevailed. Roy Walzer in his #8 '70 Chevron B16 Spyder took 2nd overall and 2nd in class.

Austin Armellini driving a '91 Shelby Can-am #69 won the C3 class and placed third overall."  - HSR Report

Another win for Hamish!

Alas, not much in the way of photo-coverage, but trust us,
this was a
spectacular performance by Paul!

"The last race of the weekend was the Vintage/Historic Production race 2. Paul Alexander

and Robert Boller had a good race between them for the overall win and the class win. Paul Alexander in

the #114 '64 Elva MK 7S took the win in class 2C, with Robert Boller taking 2nd overall and 2nd in class

with his #95 '63 Lotus 23. Taking the win in class 3K was #59 Frank Beck in his '72 Porsche 914/6, who

placed 3rd overall."   -  HSR Report
