(NOT
a tough decision...) |
When
December started
looking like this.....
(okay, maybe not for
Paul & Kerry),
we decided it wouldn't
be a bad idea to make tracks (as it were) for
Sebring Int'l and
the
Inn on the Lakes, where it looked like this.

 |
|
In fact, it was SO nice in Sebring,
we were compelled to make a few urgent calls to
Rick Carlino
(a.k.a. Eeyore)
to come on down for some blistering hot laps in Florida. And, in the
end, he did.... even decided we were right!

"Yeah, it's nice &
warm here...... so?"
(it's
a miracle - he likes
it! ...and so does Dean Jones)
|
|
 |

Also in attendance this year were Hamish Somerville
with his red-hot Lola T212,
Paul Alexander
with
Kerry
on his arm and
silver-bullet
Elva Mk7S
to drive, Karen
& Larry Kessler
with Larry's Chevron
B19 du Soleil;
the aforementioned, last-minute entry, Rick,
with his galvanic GRD;
and Chapman,
himself,
hoping to at least test his
hurriedly-finished Super 7 Lotus.
On Friday, Divina
Galica joined the team for some "musical
cars," driving both the GRD
and Lola T212
in two Enduros with Hamish & Rick. |

On Friday, as a belated birthday surprise,
Karen presented
Larry with
specially-produced "bio/history" boards,
which were some weeks in the making (originally conceived by Karen,
designed and executed by Somoroff Design,
and produced/coordinated by our own Cathy
Rimmer.)
Well done ALL !

Rick checks the Pennsylvania forecast
on
his IPhone....
yep, made the right decision. |

|

|

"Hey, could we have some privacy please!" |
|
 |
|

"Can you believe this guy
when he's got a camera???" |

"I was trying to keep a low profile!" |
|
 |
|

"Nice car though.... " |
|
 |
|

"Same to you, buddy...."

Now it's

He keeps his cool in Hamish's

...and really comes to grips with it in the Enduro! |

Before Hamish's sprint race,
Lee &
Seamus Nolan discuss
the merits of wearing a jacket in Florida.... or not.... |
|
 |

Lee: "well, it
IS December...." |
|
 |
|

Seamus: "Yeah,
but this is Florida..... it's 75 degrees..............
I give up....." |
