Advertised thusly: "The Grand Prix Historique is
an exceptional event held every 2 years in Monaco. It follows the
long tradition of Automobile sport in Monte-Carlo and enables viewers to
participate at a race where some of the most unique and valuable cars in
the world can be seen in action....
 |
...."It is a highly prestigious occasion and enables guests to enjoy
Monaco during a Grand Prix without the inconvenience of the logistical
difficulties of the regular F1. The true devotees of today’s high-tech F1
admit a great interest and debt to the past and to the motor racing
legends of the last century."
Indeed...
and what a
setting !

The
Hermitage (above & below) took very good care of
Hamish &
Junmei,
Lee &
Carol and
Chuck.
In fact, all of Monaco was wonderfully accommodating for Historic Grand Prix
week. |

Carol's luggage got lost somewhere between Brussels, Munich and Nice,
so Sandy &
Carol &
Junmei (behind
the camera) were forced to go shopping first thing, alas..... |

Rick &
Sandy's hotel, The
Port Palace (above & below), had the
best race & harbor viewing deck in the city -- at the same time offering
an array of culinary delights during the
races
(enjoyed by Sandy
& Carol
on both Saturday & Sunday)

Junmei

watched the action from aboard
Sheena

also enjoying great food, drink and racing views. |

Whoops -- this will keep
Chuck and
Lee busy for a
couple of hours....
(No worries, they had it all fixed for its next outing Saturday
afternoon) |

Ooh la la...

between races...)
