TEAM-LCR REPORTS

This year's HGP event at the Glen was sunny, hot and dry.  It was a smaller field of F1 cars than usual, but we did our best to swell the grid.
Rick Carlino was here with his March 811, Pete Gulick with his Williams FW08 and McLaren M19, Hamish Somerville with his FW07 and Brabham BT37 for Rick's protégé Derek Jones to drive; and, with us for the next three races, Jeff Lewis with his McLaren M26.

Thankfully, Rick's March 811 (below) was running properly again.
(Bad fuel gotten at Mosport had necessitated an overhaul of the the fuel system.)

He also brought his
McLaren M19 to check out in a session or two,
to see if we had remedied the problems that had come to
light on its first outing in Vegas.

Newcomer (to us), Jeff Lewis and his McLaren M26, had come under our wing for the next three races.
He was on loan to us from
Dave Vegher's stable.

Hamish had his FW07 to drive, and very kindly

, a ride in his Brabham BT37 ...

... and Derek drives the wheels off the car!

Pete once again had woes at the Glen, almost from the word go.  We initially thought it was a fuel problem and worked to repair that all weekend, as this had been Hamish's problem after Mosport – bad gas, and rubber seals in the metering unit that were disintegrating.

... but the car looked stunning!

After a disappointing weekend at Mosport,
Rick had a trouble-free weekend
at the Glen, the
March 811 running
like clockwork –
testament to
Mikey-Mike's
hard work debugging the car.
