Next on the agenda for our F1 cars was
Mosport – not an HGP gathering, but an
independent gathering of F1 cars to celebrate the 40th anniversary of F1
cars at Mosport.
On board for this event were Hamish
Somerville with his
Williams FW07,
Pete Gulick and
his FW08,
Rick
Carlino with his
March 811, and
DivinaGalica, once
again driving Hamish'sBrabhamBT37.
We also had a turnout of three of our Sports Racers, with
Hamish Somerville's Lola T70,
RickCarlino's
new ChevronB36 (resplendent now in its correct period color scheme and graphics), and
PhilMeany
with his GropaChevron,
fresh from a podium finish at VIR's Gold Cup.

From the very first session on practice day,
Hamish Somerville
and Pete Gulick
in their Williams FW07
and FW08,
respectively, put on on a demonstration of sheer excellence – speed,
handling, running nose to tail like a train, lap after lap.
Saturday's qualifying session was maybe the most spectacular of the
weekend, with Pete
taking the checker just ahead of Hamish.
See for yourself –
following the still shots below is a YouTube video of the qualifying race.
