Sprint Series

"The Group 7 UBS-Mike Stott Sprint was another close one from flag to flag. From the start it was Duncan Dayton’s ’67 Lola T70 with Peter Gulick, ’73 Chevron B23 and John Higgins, ’72 Chevron B23 filling his mirrors. A lap later the order was Gulick, Higgins and Dayton, but the next go around had Dayton in second. About half distance Dayton took back the lead, but it was close right to the wire with the margin of victory only 00:00..786." -- Bob Harrington
